with Rev. Richard Ussery officiating. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Ada Amburgey

Ada Virginia Amburgey passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at her home. Ada was born on March 31, 1934, in Knott County, KY, to the late Leslie and Nancy Short Williams. She was a member of the Church of God for 40 years and a member of Solid Rock Church of God.

She was a wife, mother, counselor and friend. A tireless prayer warrior, who set the example of what love and commitment to Christ was all about. Her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marion Amburgey; six children, Jeannie Baker of Mt. Washington, Shelia Johnson of Taylorsville, Lavon Noe, Simeon and Dannie Amburgey, all of Louisville and Shawn Amburgey of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters and brothers, Lee Ester Perry, June Scott, Sue Green, Ella Seals, Berl Williams and Sherman Williams; and four grandchildren, Angel Goff, Alana Satterly, Stormy Campbell and Aaron Noe: and five great-grand-children.
